Kia Ora Flora makes a brilliant debut

Cultivaris was involved from the very beginning, providing creative guidance for the collection and variety names, logo and strategic messaging. Once the branding was established, Cultivaris produced all the marketing materials (brochures, signage and PR) to prominently showcase the products while providing ideas on how to incorporate them into gardens and landscapes. Cultivaris was also responsible for developing a 100-page website that features complete product information for both consumer and trade.

The Kia Ora campaign culminated with a grand debut at Pack Trials—the prominent SoCal hort show—and received a record number of orders.


Cultivaris plugged in to Organiks licensing campaign
March 2008—Plug Connection has brought Cultivaris on board to help license Organiks, their branded organic herb, vegetable, and fruit program to US growers.

Plug Connection is one of the first large-scale commercial growers and the first ornamental plug producer in the US to achieve organic certification. Besides helping growers achieve organic certification, Plug Connection and Cultivaris (through the Organiks brand) will also provide marketing materials, sales support, staff training, and coordination of sales with national retailers such as Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe’s and independent garden centers to bring their high value brand to the consumer.

Cultivaris will apply its expertise in brand management and retail networking to ensure the success of this ambitious organic program.


Cultivaris signs agreement with the NTBG and to develop new food crop
February 2008—Abiding with the Convention on Biodiversity, Cultivaris has signed an agreement with the National Tropical Botanic Gardens in Hawaii and the government of Samoa to develop specific selections of a promising new food crop through applied biotechnology.

Plants that Work by Color: Novalis and Cultivaris join forces
July 2007—Novalis, a large–scale grower network producing and marketing exclusive woody ornamentals and perennials, have asked Cultivaris to develop and manage a color program exclusive to the independent garden centers under the Plants that Work by Color brand.
